Nothing says Christmas quite like baked ham.
To celebrate the festive season in-store we are baking glorious legs of ham,
liberally glazed with our very own Christmas Prevserve (sold in-store) for our
daily sandwiches.
Everyday you can buy (or order ahead) delicious glazed ham sandwich with
our own preserve, cintage cheddar and rocket right up until December 22 nd .
The preserved is delicious in sandwiches or as an accompaniment for cheese
but it’s starring role is as a glaze on your Christmas ham. Here’s the recipe:
GLAZED HAM JOCELYN’S STYLE
1 -6- 8kg leg of ham, bone-in
aprox. 40-50 whole cloves
1 bottle Jocelyn’s Provisions Christmas Preserve
120gm honey
METHOD
Peel the skin off the ham. Score the fat with a sharp knife diagonally to create
3-4cm diamond shapes. Press one clove into the centre of each diamond.
Using a pastry brush, smooth preserve over the entire surface of the ham.
Use the whole bottle. Bake at 160 degrees C (fan-forced) 180 degrees C (no
fan) for aprox. 45 minutes, then remove from oven. Drizzle honey over the
ham and replace in the oven. Bake for a further 30minutes or until the glaze
is golden and sticky.
Allow to rest (10 mins) before carving. Serve with a green salad, some crusty
bread and some room temperature Christmas preserve.
