RETAIL
James Street Team Member | Casual
We’re looking for a reliable, enthusiastic casual to join our retail team.
This role is best suited to someone with strong weekday availability - ideally at least four full weekdays per week.
What We’re Looking For:
- Available for minimum 4 full weekdays
- Previous experience in a similar retail or food environment preferred
- Coffee experience is advantageous
- Friendly, calm under pressure, and customer-focused
About the role:
You’ll work alongside our supportive supervisors and team, delivering the warm, polished customer service Jocelyn’s Provisions is known for. Duties include front-of-house service, product presentation, and maintaining store standards.

KITCHEN
Pastry Chef / Decorator | Full Time
Join our decorating team in a full-time, salaried position (40 hours per week). The role runs five days on with two days off, with shifts starting at 2pm. Weekend work is required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualification as a Pastry chef or extensive experience working as a cake decorator. (Min. 1 year full-time experience as a qualified pastry chef)
- Decorating cakes, cupcakes, special occasion cakes, multi-layered & bespoke creations for our retail locations, retail customer orders and wholesale customer orders.
- Make multiple icings, frostings, butter creams, ganaches and fillings for our products.
- Have a proven track record of speed and accuracy when working with large scale decoration and able to remain calm and maintain high standards during busy periods.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team, self motivated and hardworking.
- Train and mentor apprentices and new staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
KITCHEN
1st Year Apprentice Pastry Chef
We are seeking a committed 1st year Pastry chef apprentice to join our team. The position is full-time (38 hours a week) five days on with two days off, weekend work applies for this role.

Pastry Chef (Pastry Production / Savoury) | Full time
We’re hiring a full-time Pastry Chef for our pastry production team. This salaried role is 40 hours per week, across five days with two consecutive days off. Shifts begin around 10-11am, Tuesday - Saturday.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualification as a Pastry chef or extensive experience working in a similar position. (Min. 1-2 years full-time experience as a qualified pastry chef).
- You will be required to assist in the production of our range of pastries for pies, sausage rolls and sweet & savoury tart shells - Puff pastry, Brisée pastry, Sour cream pastry, Brioche pastry and Shortcrust pastry.
- Assist with the filling and making of pie's & sausage rolls.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team, self motivated and hardworking.
- Train and mentor apprentices and new staff.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
PORTERS
Experienced Delivery Driver | Casual
We are currently looking for an experienced delivery driver to join our team. Your role will include packing and unloading deliveries (in a van) from our commercial kitchen and adjoining bakery to our other retail stores. You will also be required to deliver wedding cakes, corporate orders to clients, as well as daily deliveries to our wholesale customers all over Brisbane.
This is a casual position, 5 day working week (25-30 hours a week) with the option of 6 days a week if you want more hours. Early starts (3:30am) & early finishes. We are a 7-day operation so this role will include weekday and weekend work. Must have your own reliable transportation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Excellent customer service and time management
- Great attention to detail, ensuring all customers receive their correct order and each & every product arrives in good condition.
- A good knowledge of the Brisbane metro area and surrounds
- A current drivers license with a good driving record
- Experience in a similar position
- The ability to keep track of any relevant paperwork/invoices/picking slips etc.
