Garlic Butter Crumbs with Caprese Salad

Are you looking to elevate your salad experience? Look no further than garlic butter crumbs paired with a classic Caprese salad. These crunchy, flavourful crumbs made from our JP Sourdough Crumbs add a delicious twist to the traditional salad.

 

Serves 2 as a side.

CRUMBS

30g Garlic Butter

200g JP Sourdough Crumbs

50ml Olive Oil, plus extra for serving

60g Fried Shallots

Salt

Pepper

 

SALAD

2 Heirloom Tomatoes

6 Cherry Tomatoes, halved

1 Burrata, drained

Basil Leaves

   

CRUMBS METHOD

1. Melt butter in the oil in a shallow non-stick pan over a medium
heat.

2. Add crumbs and cook, stirring until they start to brown (2-3mins).

3. Turn off the heat and continue to stir so they don’t burn.

4. Remove from heat and add the shallots and seasoning to taste.

5. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for
2-3 weeks.

 

SALAD METHOD

1. Arrange tomatoes over a serving dish and top with burrata.

2. Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle with crumbs.

3. Add basil and serve at once.
